Position Description:

Secure Innovation is part of CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit, focused primarily on delivering contemporary and innovative technical solutions for our clients' most challenging problems.

We require an Infrastructure Engineer / Architect to work as part of the Consulting Unit, on diverse projects delivering on-premises, cloud, and niche solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

They will work on highly secure hybrid on-prem/cloud projects. The role is within an established, fast-moving DevSecOps team, managing on-prem, remote, and multi-cloud infrastructure, utilizing technologies such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform, Ubuntu, Windows, VPNs, firewalls, VMs, laptops, MFA, AD, monitoring, network performance, resilience, security design, along with scripting and application configuration.

Required qualifications:

• Ideally 3 years of experience in Infrastructure engineering – design, build, deploy, support
• Deployment across on-prem and cloud infrastructure
• Kubernetes, Containerization, Platform Engineering
• Kubernetes architecture – pods, services, deployments, networking
• Scripting skills, e.g., Python/Shell
• Experience with Docker, image creation, container management, security patching, orchestration
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Cloud compute experience – AWS, GCP, or Azure (primarily AWS)
• GitOps tools such as Argo CD
• Infra security, compliance, governance
• Familiarity with CNCF ecosystem and Kubernetes platform building
• Container orchestration tools, e.g., Docker Swarm, Apache Mesos
• Service Mesh technologies, e.g., Istio, Linkerd
• Monitoring tools, e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
• Problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work across stakeholders and sites
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Git
