Job summary

The South Hampshire College Group is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Cyber Security) to join Group IT and lead cyber security monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response. You will design, implement and improve secure infrastructure across servers, networks, cloud and on-premises platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure and security monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security controls, threat detection and incident response.
• Experience with Windows Server and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of cyber security controls, standards and procedures.
• Act as technical lead for monitoring, vulnerability management, security hardening and incident response.
• Coordinate remediation activities and provide technical assurance across the infrastructure estate.
• Support security investigations, containment, recovery and post-incident reviews.
• Ensure GDPR, Cyber Essentials and ISO compliance across IT systems.
