Job description

A well-established organisation based in Camberley, Surrey are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team. This role would also suit candidates who are working as an Assistant Network Manager, Network Engineer, IT Technician, IT Engineer, IT Support Analyst or similar.

Please note, this role will be fully site based (no hybrid or remote working). They offer a great benefits package which includes 29 days holiday (plus bank holidays), BUPA Health and Wellbeing Cash Plan, a generous pension scheme and discounted gym membership.

Working as part of a small IT team, you will ensure the provision and maintenance of high-quality IT services to users in collaboration with the IT Systems Manager. You will support core IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability of services and data to all stakeholders and will assist with managing and developing IT provision across the site, delivering strategic IT objectives and coordinating the work of IT technicians.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting the design and delivery of the IT strategy and deliver successful IT projects, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT infrastructure and use the IT helpdesk to prioritise, assign and resolve tasks and monitor network performance and ongoing issues. You will build and test software packages for deployment over the network, ensure system changes are managed and documented, maintain the asset register, manage Microsoft 365 services, identity and security (exchange online, active director, security, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams) and ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place, tested and fit for purpose.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with experience maintaining a network including Wi-Fi and configuring switches, managing user access including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and Azure, firewall management (CISCO and HP) and server configurations (Windows 2012 R2 and 2016). You will have experience with Office 365, SharePoint, virtual environment (VMWare and Hyper-V), printer solutions (Papercut MF), anti-virus solutions including Sophos, VOIP telephone systems and CCTV and access control systems.

The salary on offer is £34,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
