Job description

Location: We welcome applications from those looking for hybrid working, based 2/3 days in our Handforth (Cheshire) Office.

Training: This will be onsite for the first few weeks

About the Role

This role is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the Pets at Home backup solution to ensure it is operating as designed and frequently tested to prove that the backups are recoverable and usable.

In the event of a system loss this role will be responsible for managing the system and data recovery.

Key Responsibilities - What you'll be doing

• Set up backup policies, schedules, and retention periods
• Install and configure the Rubrik backup solution
• Track daily backup status and job completions/failures
• Investigate and troubleshoot failed jobs
• Run tests to prove that backups are able to be successfully restored
• Perform data restores (full, incremental, granular) upon system loss
• Verify successful data restoration and document process
• Report on storage usage and costs related to this
• Assist in planning, testing, and executing DR plans
• Participate in DR drills and document results
• Backup success/failure reports
• Capacity planning and usage reports
