This role is perfectly suited to someone who enjoys working alongside experienced engineers with the preparation of technical drawings and plans, while also providing input on design elements. You\'ll be working closely with our engineering team to develop infrastructure solutions, produce CAD drawings, and contribute to innovative, practical, and efficient designs. The candidate should have good experience with AutoCAD (or similar CAD software) and is comfortable working from sketches, mark-ups, and specifications. You will show a willingness to learn, grow professionally, and take on increasing responsibility within the team.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise
  • HNC / BSc / BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering or related subject.
  • A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Consultancy/private sector development background with a desire towards private sector development work.
  • An understanding of UK highway design principles.

  • Ability to undertake a supporting role for both minor and major projects including taking independent responsibility for less complex tasks and managing their own workload.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of others using professional judgment to identify and analyse issues and solve problems, research and gather appropriate information to inform or generate strategies or responses to issues or questions, and identify and evaluate different course of actions, to reach clear and informed recommendations, working through more complex tasks with support.

You can expect to be part of a proactive and vibrant team that encourages individual autonomy and initiative. We feel this helps to facilitate a better work life balance that suits individual's needs, whilst still being assured of a supportive and collaborative working environment.
