Infrastructure Engineer

Operational Services

Specific Operational Focus

• Operational Technology & Manufacturing
• Working with third parties to support and maintain OT hardware & systems
• Maintain infrastructure environment to ensure manufacturing can operate without disruption
• Enforce cybersecurity practices & patching processes across IT/OT systems to maintain compliance with industry standards and corporate policy
• Collaborate with group IT, factory managers, and equipment vendors to ensure systems meet operational requirements

Operational Performance

• Ensure effective operation of the infrastructure estate, including but not limited to:

• Server OS
• Patch Management
• Virtualisation (VMWare)
• Group Policy
• M365 (including Exchange Online)
• Active Directory / Entra ID
• Server Vulnerability Management

• Provide on-site support for network-related incidents at manufacturing sites
• Ensure operational services, hardware, and software are delivered to agreed SLAs, and implement remedial actions when standards are not met
• Monitor server estate for performance issues and resolve problems within SLAs
• Ensure system logs are available for ingestion into Security Operations Centre (SOC)
• Maintain hardware and software within supported lifecycle, working with vendors for updates
• Work with the Senior Infrastructure Service Analyst to enforce IT policies and procedures
• Support major incident resolution and post-incident reviews for server areas
• Deliver third-line support across factories for back-office and floor teams
• Assist in business recovery planning, testing, and documentation of server elements
