Job description

DC Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Stevenage, UK travel may be required.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join an established Data Centre support team. Your role will be focused on the management of a virtual platform. There is also the opportunity to diversify your skills, working with other specialists in the team, and supporting the introduction of system changes into live service.

Your role will involve remotely managing geographically diverse virtual platforms. You will be joining an expanding team to deliver and maintain an additional service to already established environments. A large part of the role will be implementing service changes to the production environment. Additional responsibilities include producing and reviewing documentation and liaising with other dependent parties.

Your transferable skills and experience:

  1. A proven track record as an infrastructure engineer in an operational environment.
  2. A good breadth of technical skills across an enterprise environment, ideally being able to demonstrate skills in infrastructure management (including Windows Servers, backup/storage and Endpoint Security), VMWare support and implementation, and Linux fundamentals.
  3. Self-motivation. Be able to identify improvements for process and best practice, with a drive for continuous improvement.
  4. Have the ability to work well within a team and develop a positive working relationship with other resolver teams throughout the organisation.
  5. Have good and clear communications when interacting with peers, management, other resolver teams, and customers.
  6. Excellent attention to detail.
