Pay up to £52,442 plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work life balance.
DWP. Digital with Purpose.
Do you have experience of Infrastructure and Application Monitoring or Data Warehouse and Dashboarding?
You will join us in DWP Enterprise Tooling Team which is responsible for managing and maintaining a range of enterprise products that monitor and report the performance of the Department's IT systems.
We're using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives.
DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support and empower millions of people.
The scale of what we do is extraordinary, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
You and your role
We're after someone who's great at spotting and fixing issues, keeping monitoring tools running smoothly, and helping roll out updates and patches. You'll be working with ITIL across Incident, Problem and Change management processes to support a modern enterprise-grade tooling setup.
You'll need a solid grasp of IT infrastructure and be comfortable working across Windows and UNIX systems, using RDP and SSH. Experience with tools like BMC Helix, Flexera, NGNIX, Nlyte, Splunk, Dynatrace, or Cribl is a bonus, but we'll train you if needed.
Our hybrid hosting setup leans heavily into public cloud, so if you've got experience deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure especially using Infrastructure as Code you'll fit right in.
We're also moving rapidly toward containerisation-based solutions, so a strong understanding of container technologies is essential. You'll be expected to demonstrate your ability to work confidently in this space and help shape how we build and run services in a container-first environment
