Overview

Infrastructure Engineer – Location: Leatherhead, United Kingdom (hybrid; occasional travel to Didcot, Oxfordshire). Employment Type: Full Time.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to deliver cutting-edge 5G/SatComs projects for several high-profile clients, and to integrate 5G private network and SatComs links supplied by major operators. The role requires hands-on work, including building VM environments, implementing networking solutions, firewalls and automated scripting.

Responsibilities

• Creation and maintenance of build and design documents
• Implementation of infrastructure solutions
• Test and validation of solutions
• Researching new COTS solutions and applying them

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Essential:

• VMware/Hyper-V building/setup and deployment of VM environments
• Linux Administration build/configure/maintain
• Automation/scripting eg Ansible, Puppet
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Networking; good understanding of basic networks

Desirable:

• Experience of designing bespoke infrastructure solutions
• Understanding of 5G / Telecoms background
• Understanding of satellite communications networks
• NMS Zabbix/ Grafana
• Firewalls: Fortinet / PFSense/ Juniper: install/configuration/ maintenance. Understanding of VPNs
