Infrastructure Engineer | £50,000 - High Wycombe (2/3 Days Per Week)

Here at BurnsSheehan, we are working with a leading innovator in the Environmental Sustainability space as they look for an Infrastructure Engineer to join them on a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract to join their ever-growing team as they embark on a 5-Year Digital Transformation.

As the Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible responsible for ensuring the effective operation, installation and configuration of all of systems, including recommending software and hardware acquisitions and upgrades.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all elements of IT Infrastructure, supporting and optimising key functional areas, particularly server infrastructure and all local onsite infrastructure.
  • Monitor IT service performance, availability and capacity
  • Ensure data center capacity is measured and provide regular capacity reports and appropriate availability
  • Test and document disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Apply technical support concepts to deliver the highest standard of technical support
  • Support the review of system architecture and recommend improvements in line with Service Delivery

Essential Requirements:

  • Knowledge necessary to propose relevant IT responses to changing business and project risks
  • Azure administration
  • Scripting, patching, and monitoring
  • SCCM and endpoint protection
  • Had experience with Migrations of Office 365, including emails, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Understanding of Data Centers (DCs) and Hyper-V
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktops
  • Hands-on experience with Office 365 monitoring tools
