How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Perform as a technical subject matter expert for wired and wireless networks.
  • Assist with the installation and support of both wireless and ethernet switched networks across EMEA/AP.
  • Participate in current state network analysis, requirements gathering for hardware refresh and customer-driven change moments.
  • Assist Lead Network Engineer in architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Provide estimates for new site locations by creating a bill of materials against standard architectures.
  • Create pre and post-install technical design/implementation documentation.
  • Work as part of the team to define platform and product roadmaps.
  • Work with wireless engineers to survey sites, validate network health and propose configuration changes to optimize the wireless footprint.
  • Define/analyze heat maps for new site wireless deployments.
  • Work with network operations centers to assist with incident management.
  • Coach and mentor others.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in Enterprise Networking technologies.
  • Proven experience in engineering and supporting networks based on Cisco, Arista and Aruba technologies.
  • Experience with RF and designing WiFi networks for campus locations.
  • Knowledge of IEEE wireless standards (802.11 g,n,ac,ax), 2.4, 5, and 6Ghz.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident and change management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, and network technologies such as Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, Port-Channels, 802.1x, QoS, VLANs, SVIs, and Multicast.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools Wireshark, PCAP, SSH, Putty.
  • Good understanding of security infrastructure, including firewall concepts.
  • Requires professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to function effectively both individually and within a team.
