This isn't just another infrastructure job - it's a chance to step into an architectural role where you'll design, shape, and future-proof IT infrastructure for one of Cambridge's most forward-thinking software houses. You'll be trusted to make high-level decisions, drive key projects, and play a pivotal role in the company's growth.

Enjoy perks like hybrid working (3 days remote), a generous bonus scheme, free parking in Cambridge, and regular 'Lunch and Learn' sessions to keep your skills sharp.

Why This Role?

  • You'll architect and optimise a high-performance IT infrastructure spanning both Windows and Linux environments.
    * You'll define and execute strategic roadmaps, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
    * You'll lead cloud, virtualisation, and automation initiatives, modernising infrastructure for the future.
    * You'll provide high-level technical leadership, aligning IT strategy with business goals.
    * You'll define disaster recovery, security, and compliance frameworks for resilience.
    * You'll be a technical authority, mentoring engineers and setting best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Deep expertise in Windows and/or Linux/Unix architecture, including automation and security best practices.
    * Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem.
    * Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, Hyper-V, SCCM, and automation tools.
    * Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) to streamline and optimise workflows.
    * Expertise in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations).
    * Exceptional communication skills - able to translate technical strategies into actionable business value.
    * Must be within a 45-minute commute of Cambridge and eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.
