Job description

Our client is a dynamic engineering consultancy based in the heart of the Thames Valley, offering a comprehensive range of services from pre-planning to site completion.

They are currently seeking a driven civil engineer with at least 2 years' experience in drainage to join their expert team.

You will be responsible for designing both concept and detailed drainage solutions for a variety of residential projects, supporting your designs with hydraulic calculations.

You will also produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and work directly with clients, the Environment Agency and other local stakeholders to address project queries. Additionally, you may represent the company at design team meetings and public consultations.

Proficiency in CAD and hydraulic modelling software (such as MicroDrainage) is essential, as well as experience liaising with clients, Local Authorities, and public bodies like the Environment Agency. A strong understanding of UK drainage regulations is required, and prior experience in the residential sector is preferred, though experience in commercial or highways projects will also be considered.

Our client values the growth and development of its employees, offering ample opportunities for training and career advancement. With a low staff turnover, their team members feel supported and appreciated, with opportunities to gain further qualifications and work toward chartership status.

In return for your expertise, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including a health cash plan and life assurance.

If you're ready to make a difference and advance your career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, send your CV to Graham Ventham at Conrad Consulting.
