We are seeking a talented and driven Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Azure administration to join our team in Aberdeen.

This role involves delivering a blend of operational and project support within an enterprise environment, ensuring high-quality outcomes and reliability.

This role is based in Aberdeen and offers hybrid working.

What you’ll do

1. Act as 3rd line support for Infrastructure related services
2. Prioritise and manage incidents
3. Manage and monitor events and alerts
4. Technical planning and implementation activities for infrastructure projects
5. Identify and manage problems and perform root cause analysis
6. Document and peer review operational support knowledge
7. Maintain patch and security baselines for Infrastructure services
8. Design, recommend, plan, and implement Infrastructure solutions
9. Act as technical authority for Infrastructure services, providing governance for change activity
10. Liaise with infrastructure service vendors
11. Participate in an on-call rota

What to bring

1. Enterprise infrastructure support experience, ideally within an Oil and Gas setting
2. Experience installing, configuring, and supporting infrastructure technologies in virtual and physical environments
3. Working knowledge of:

• Microsoft Windows Server
• VMware vSphere
• Active Directory
• M365

1. Advantageous to have experience with:

• NetApp
• Information Security & Compliance best practices
• Skills in root cause investigation and resolving business-critical issues
• Awareness of emerging technologies and a desire to stay current
• Self-supporting and proactive attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with senior leadership
• Experience working within an ITIL environment
• Azure Certification is preferred but not essential
