London Gatwick offers an exciting opportunity for a Programme Planning Manager to join our dynamic team at the world's most efficient single runway airport. Be a part of shaping our future, supporting the delivery of a substantial investment plan to develop and enhance our airport infrastructure and facilities.
The Programme Planning Manager (Major Projects) will play a key role in supporting the Programme Manager in delivering the strategic aims and objectives of the business through the development, implementation, and delivery of effective planning and assurance processes across a programme of projects.
The projects involve significant expansion of our operational facilities, requiring diversionary works, civil works, and building construction. Your role will be crucial in helping Gatwick achieve its strategic goals for the next decade, enhancing our airport and facilities. As part of a multidisciplinary team of construction industry experts, you will be involved from early project stages, defining technical scopes, aligning project delivery with business requirements, and ensuring these are carried through from design to construction and handover.
Your primary focus will be on developing, implementing, and delivering effective planning and assurance processes across a programme of projects each valued between £150m and £300m.
What is the role?
Reporting to the Lead Planning Manager, you'll lead the planning of projects across all lifecycle stages, from concept approval to delivery and closeout. Your goal is to ensure performance targets are met and exceeded consistently and on time.
