Job summary

UK Staffing Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join a specialist consultancy working on major infrastructure projects. You will develop cost models, advise clients, and contribute from concept through delivery.

The role offers hybrid working in Glasgow, with salary up to £65,000 DOE plus excellent benefits. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and mentor junior members while shaping outcomes on high-profile schemes across the UK.

Qualifications

• Around five to seven years of relevant experience.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or another engineering discipline.
• Experience working on infrastructure, highways, bridges, structures, drainage or defence projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence with data.

Responsibilities

• Producing cost estimates, cost plans, and commercial advice for major infrastructure projects.
• Supporting clients with cost assurance, benchmarking, and whole-life cost modelling.
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser.
• Leading commissions and owning project delivery.
• Analysing project data to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development.
• Contributing to the growth of the Glasgow office.
