Job Description

Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer - Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established medical-related business.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining a hybrid on-premises infrastructure and cloud platform.
  2. Automating resource provisioning, including compute and storage resources, logging, and monitoring.
  3. Automating resource management such as scaling data ingress and egress, load balancing, security updates, and backups.
  4. Building tools to reduce errors and improve user experience.
  5. Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
  6. Liaising with Security Engineers to reconfigure and patch existing cloud applications and services.
  7. Conducting technical reviews of current and future cloud/infrastructure environments, including security provisions.
  8. Ensuring adherence to standards and processes set by the Design Authority/CCoE for all cloud engagements.
  9. Keeping the cloud service catalogue up to date.
  10. Providing implementation and design support for cloud usage.
  11. Managing third-party supplier performance related to cloud operations.
  12. Contributing to cloud evangelism and initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems environments—operating systems, networking, applications, platforms, and databases.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including architectural design and deployment of cloud solutions (e.g., Azure cloud skills and some DevOps skills).
  • Experience with VMWare and Windows networking.
