Tenth Revolution Group is recruiting on behalf of an established, growing organisation looking to strengthen its internal infrastructure team with an experienced Infrastructure Cloud Engineer.
You will take hands‑on responsibility for the administration, support, security and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Microsoft Azure environment. Reporting to the Modern Workplace Architect, you will work closely with the wider infrastructure, networking, security and project teams.
This is a hands‑on engineering position rather than an architecture or management role, offering genuine ownership of an Azure estate.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Owning and administering the Microsoft Azure infrastructure estate.
- Managing Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Backup services and associated IaaS resources.
- Supporting Azure networking and hybrid connectivity across offices, Azure and third‑party services.
- Monitoring platform performance, availability and capacity.
- Completing patching, maintenance and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
- Supporting backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshooting Azure infrastructure, networking and connectivity issues.
- Supporting Azure security controls, governance standards and vulnerability remediation.
- Working with Microsoft Defender and assisting with Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 initiatives.
- Administering Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, Conditional Access, MFA and RBAC.
- Supporting Microsoft 365 administration, licensing, provisioning, security and governance.
- Providing second‑ and third‑line support for cloud and infrastructure services.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex Azure and cloud‑related incidents.
- Supporting cloud migrations, platform improvements and wider Microsoft technology projects.
- Using PowerShell to automate tasks and improve operational processes.
- Maintaining clear technical documentation and operational procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Azure IaaS environments.
- Practical experience managing Azure Virtual Machines, storage, backup and networking services.
- A good understanding of Azure security, governance and identity management.
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of Conditional Access, MFA and Role‑Based Access Control.
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Strong infrastructure and networking troubleshooting capabilities.
- The confidence to take ownership of a cloud environment and work as its primary hands‑on engineer.
- The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised and calm approach to resolving problems.
Experience with Azure Firewall, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, hybrid networking and disaster recovery would be particularly beneficial.
Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ-104 and ITIL Foundation certifications are desirable but not essential.
Package and Working Arrangement
- Salary of up to £65,000
- 10% annual bonus
- London‑based office
- Four days per week onsite and one day working from home
- Genuine ownership of a Microsoft Azure environment
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, security, identity, networking and improvement projects
This position would suit an experienced Azure or Infrastructure Engineer who wants to remain technically hands‑on, take greater ownership and continue developing their Microsoft cloud expertise within a growing organisation.
