Job summary

Amey is seeking Archivists to join the Infrastructure team in Scotland. You will preserve, structure, and digitise technical records and historical data to support operational delivery and strategic planning.

The role focuses on establishing standardised archives for bridge-related assets, migrating legacy records to modern systems, and ensuring data governance across Transport Scotland projects.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate digital archiving platforms and apply metadata tagging.
• Experience in searching and consolidating records across varied formats (paper, digital, physical media).
• Knowledge of data governance and archival standards in large projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish a structured archive of bridge-related asset records for Network and Major Bridge Structures.
• Develop and maintain archives for infrastructure projects including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
• Migrate legacy records to modern platforms while preserving data integrity.
• Collate and organise historical records to support operational delivery and strategic planning.
• Provide training on document handling and archiving protocols to project teams.
