Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated VMware Specialist with active DV clearance to join our client for a 6-month contract (potential extension) based in Basingstoke. The role is fully onsite and requires urgent start.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing VMware-based IaaS solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Configuring and optimizing VMware vRealize Orchestrator (VRO) workflows for automation.
  • Managing VMware Cloud Director (VCD) instances, including resource pools and networking.
  • Implementing NSX-T for SDN and security.
  • Collaborating with teams to integrate VMware solutions.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining documentation and staying updated on VMware trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Proven experience with VMware vSphere, VRO, VCD, and NSX-T.
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
  • Strong understanding of SDN principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP) are desirable.
  • Active DV clearance is mandatory.
