Infrastructure Architect - Must have active DV Clearance

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £50-80k dependant on experience

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect with current DV clearance to work in Gloucestershire. The role is office-based and involves collaborating with our client. The successful candidate will focus on developing hosting platforms to effectively serve our customers, acting as a crucial link between our technology team and customers to address the unique challenges faced.

Their expertise will guide the platform's design, features, and functionalities related to hosting platform management, ensuring maximum value and compliance with industry standards.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work closely with our product and engineering teams to define, design, and enhance platform features tailored for IT infrastructure solutions.
2. Gather and analyze customer requirements, feedback, and pain points to inform platform development that meets their needs.
3. Attend client meetings alongside Sales and Account Management teams to provide consultative support, technical expertise, and strategic insights.
4. Understand clients' strategic and operational needs for a modern and collaborative workspace.
5. Guide managed and professional services teams in client project onboarding and infrastructure mobilization.
6. Participate in strategic planning meetings to propose effective technology roadmaps.
7. Regularly review and update IT strategies, budgets, and roadmaps to align with industry best practices and technological advancements.
8. Maintain effective knowledge of vendor solutions to support sales and technical certifications.
9. Support solution architecture with strong technical understanding and produce well-presented, holistic solutions.
10. Create high- and low-level technical design documentation.
11. Maintain expert knowledge in public cloud infrastructure and virtualizations.
12. Understand infrastructure schematics and topologies.
13. Experience in bid management and commercial understanding.
14. Possess cybersecurity knowledge across various platforms.
15. Proficient in networking, storage, server technologies, and hardware.
16. Understand IP Voice Technologies and solutions.
17. Apply Project Management and ITIL principles.
18. Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Essential:

• AWS Solutions Architect Expert
• AWS Certified Sysops Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert
• Experience in Microsoft Azure & 365 migration and solution design
• Expertise in Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies and migrations

Desirable:

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Routing/Switching, DNA, or equivalent experience
• Experience with wireless infrastructure technologies and design
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server Applications, Active Directory, Exchange, and AVD
• Virtualization (VMware) implementation and administration experience
• Knowledge of mainstream Storage, Backup/Replication, and DR Technologies
• Solution architecture: 5 years
• ITIL: 1 year
• Cybersecurity: 1 year
