About The Role:
6 Months Contract Inside IR35
We recently installed Defender for Servers (Plan 1) across our Windows and Linux hybrid estate. We are now looking to enhance our security posture through best practices, automated remediation, and a comprehensive review of Defender security. About 50% of this role involves designing and implementing these practices, while the other 50% involves working within the Infrastructure BAU team to resolve escalated 3rd line issues from the ITSC team.

Core Hours:
Initially covering core hours from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for a varied 35-hour week as required.

Minimum Criteria:

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Defender Suite (Defender for Servers Plan 1), including hybrid onboarding, threat and vulnerability management, and Defender for Cloud portal.
• Good knowledge of Azure ARC.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering complex infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Ability to share knowledge within the team.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory.
• Intermediate knowledge of M365, Exchange, and Azure AD.
• Understanding of ITIL Framework.
• Capacity planning and performance analysis of infrastructure.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Basic knowledge of AWS.
• Understanding of DHCP, DNS, and related technologies.
• Knowledge of security and governance policies using Azure Monitor and Defender for Cloud.
• Experience with monitoring, patching, security reviews, and policy adherence.
