Job summary

Apple is seeking a Software Engineer for Infrastructure & Tooling to join the Services Engineering team. You will build and run tools for Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, architect solutions, and collaborate across many teams to improve product quality.

You will contribute with automation, monitoring, and orchestration tooling using Go, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes, while supporting multi-site deployments and on-call rotations as part of a dynamic, security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience building infrastructure software and tooling for large-scale deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Go or Python and a track record of shipping reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and translate them into scalable infrastructure and tooling.
• Build and run automation to support application needs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to provide architectural guidance and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting for development and QA teams.
• Solve complex problems using open-source and in-house tooling to support security and performance initiatives.
• Develop scalable tooling to reduce friction and speed up delivery of services.
• Scale existing technologies to meet growth projections and drive innovation.
• Participate in tier-2 on-call rotation and incident response.
• Promote and evangelize cloud-native DevOps processes and practices.
