Job summary

Raspberry Pi Ltd in Cambridge invites an experienced Infrastructure and Network Engineer to join the IT and Security team in Engineering Operations. You will own the network, servers, storage, and backups, shaping design, automation, and security.

The role requires a pragmatic, self-starting mindset, strong Linux administration (Debian/Red‑Hat), IaC with Ansible or Terraform, and experience with Google Workspace SSO, MFA, and backups. UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Several years’ experience in infrastructure or network engineering.
• Strong Linux system administration background (Debian/Red‑Hat).
• Knowledge of ZFS and NFS.
• Knowledge of Netgear and Cisco networking equipment and common topologies.
• Experience programming in Python and Bash; managing infrastructure as code (Ansible or Terraform).
• Experience with Google Workspace single sign‑on (SAML or OIDC), SCIM provisioning, and MFA including security keys.
• Experience running backup and recovery with regular restore testing.
• Preference for open‑source tools with solid security fundamentals.
• Good documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Run and develop our network, including segmentation, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Look after our Linux servers, storage, and backups, with regular restore testing.
• Design and implement new network infrastructure and expansions as we grow.
• Own Google single sign‑on, multi‑factor authentication, and access reviews.
• Manage internal domains, DNS, and certificates.
• Write Python and Bash tooling and manage infrastructure as code to automate routine tasks.
• Handle day‑to‑day security operations and support the CISO with incident response and recovery.
