Job summary

Bouygues Travaux Publics UK is seeking an HR Manager to provide comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle. You will partner with managers and employees, deliver high-quality guidance on policies, employee relations, performance, recruitment and development, and ensure compliance with UK legislation.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level and hold a relevant professional certificate from an accredited organisation such as the CIPD.
• Solid experience in a HR management position, ideally within the Construction or Infrastructure Sector, including providing advice and support to managers.
• Strong understanding of the recruitment, learning and development, performance and talent management, benefits, payroll and other HR functions.
• Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing ER cases from start to finish.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Digitally savvy with an understanding of LMS, MS Teams, MS Office and other tools.
• Commercial acumen – Supporting the strategic decision-making within the business as an influencer.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle.
• Advise on HR policies, employee relations, performance, recruitment and development.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational goals.
• Partner with managers to define role requirements and support end-to-end recruitment.
• Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
• Coach managers on performance management and feedback conversations.
• Identify development needs and collaborate with L&D to deliver training solutions.
• Maintain confidential HR records and produce reports for decision-making.
• Contribute to HR projects including engagement, DEI, culture programmes, and process improvements.
• Support change management activities linked to restructures and events.
