Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Technical Author / Contract Editor for a major UK water infrastructure programme. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week in Kings Cross, London or Peterborough, and a daily rate of £400-£500 on a 12-month rolling contract.

You will translate complex engineering and commercial requirements into clear documentation, coordinate with engineering, procurement, and legal teams, and maintain contract and procurement materials to support procurement and delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Author, Contract Editor, or Documentation Specialist in infrastructure projects.
• Experience translating complex technical information into clear, structured documents.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts and major project procurement processes.
• Excellent written communication, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and maintain high-quality contract and procurement documentation for major infrastructure projects.
• Review technical, commercial and procurement documents for consistency, accuracy and clarity.
• Support development of NEC4-based contract documentation, scopes of work, and procurement packages.
