Petalite is a next-generation EV charging company with a mission to revolutionize electric charging technology. After extensive R&D and successful fundraising, we are now rolling out our charging technology and are looking for an IT System Administrator to run, maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. You will provide Level 1-2 support, with opportunities to support larger IT projects alongside the Head of IT.

About the Role:

Resourcefulness is essential. You should diagnose and resolve problems quickly, communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and users of varying technical skills, and adopt a people-first approach to IT support, primarily delivered in person.

Your goal is to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You will also participate in a Cloud transformation project, so familiarity with Cloud vendors and Azure cloud stack is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure software and hardware.
• Manage network servers and technology tools.
• Set up accounts and workstations.
• Monitor performance and maintain systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems with new releases.
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
• Create technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.

Requirements:

• Significant experience as a System or Network Administrator.
• Experience with databases, LAN/WAN, patch management.
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery (e.g., Fortinet, OnlyKey).
• Familiarity with Linux, OSX, and Windows.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
• BSc/Ba in IT, Computer Science, or related; professional certifications like MCSA are a plus.
