Backfill-Information Technology Support Specialist Required at Multiple Locations:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in providing technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and resolving user issues. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Active Directory, ticketing systems, hardware/software troubleshooting, and network basics, and be committed to delivering high-quality end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote tools, or in-person.
  • Manage and resolve tickets in a timely manner using a ticketing system (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow).
  • Administer Active Directory tasks including user account creation, group policies, password resets, and access management.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows/Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, printers, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
  • Configure, install, and maintain desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of software applications and patches.
  • Monitor system performance, provide regular reports on support trends, and issue resolution.
  • Document all support activities, processes, and resolutions in the internal knowledge base.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including system access, device setup, and training.
  • Maintain and manage IT inventory including hardware, software licenses, and accessories.
  • Support basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, switches, routers, wireless access points).
  • Work closely with other IT team members to implement IT projects and improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of proven experience in a similar IT support or helpdesk role.
  • Proficient in Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, and remote desktop tools.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Freshservice.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service desk best practices.
  • Good understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified (MCP/MCSA) are a plus.
  • Experience supporting mobile device management (MDM) and security tools (e.g., antivirus, endpoint protection).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Google Workspace) is an advantage.
