Job description

Our industry leading investment banking client is looking for a IT Project manager on a 6 month rolling contract, based in the London office.

The role is inside IR35.

Business Area/Department Overview:

The Global Markets CTO Office is a global entity responsible for supporting the Chief Technology Officer of Global Markets in his daily mandate by handling transversal topics, such as Security Operations, Infrastructure and other transversal projects, as well as ensuring Production stability, data quality, governance and managing GM APS organisation and finance.

Within the various Infrastructure projects, the IT Transversal Project Manager will manage the Cloud, Micro-segmentation and production monitoring tool migrations, amongst other topics.

Purpose & Scope of role:

Reporting to the Global Head of GM CTO Office, the GM APS IT Transversal project manager is responsible for:

• Managing the Cloud, Micro-segmentation and production monitoring tool migration aligned with the GM IT scope and strategy, amongst other infrastructure topics.

• Implementing and ensuring the project governance.

• Creating the roadmap for the above projects within the GM scope of assets.

• Report in a synthetic manner to provide a clear vision, as well as escalate risks and issues to Management.

• Building a strong relationship with Infrastructure, APS and ADM teams ensuring key milestones are adhered to.

• Ensuring projects are completed within budget and deadlines and that adequate activity tracking is performed in the relevant group tools.

• Ensuring a high level of accountability and ownership of the various stakeholders on all tasks and deliverables they produce.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Manage the Cloud, Micro-segmentation and production monitoring tool migration, aligned with the GM IT strategy, amongst other infrastructure topics.

• Ensure governance by organising, preparing, chairing the different GM, CIB and Group committees.

• Ensure the implementation of the appropriate tool for remediation roadmap tracking and follow-up.

• Build strong relationships with the projects’ key stakeholders and instil strong awareness with clear responsibilities.

• Work closely and synchronously with APS, ADM and Infrastructure stakeholders to prioritize and implement remediation, mitigation or risk acceptance strategies.

• Ensure client satisfaction by engaging in and acting on regular feedback.

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies:

• Track record in managing projects with global deliveries.

• Good knowledge in computer science and infrastructure.

• Good knowledge of production environment.

• Knowledge of Global Markets applications.

• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, rapidly adaptable to change.

• Accountable, pro-active, autonomous and an excellent team player as well as a motivation-driver.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
