Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer – Events & Conferences (Contractor Pool)

Location: Wokingham-based (with global travel)

About the Role:

We are looking to expand our pool of experienced contract-based IT Infrastructure Engineers to support global conferences and events. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with deep infrastructure experience who are open to short-term international assignments. A potential full-time role may be available depending on performance and proximity to the Wokingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage LAN/WLAN networks at event venues globally.
• Deliver onsite technical support throughout live events and conferences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure or connectivity issues in real-time.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth technical operations.
• Maintain clear documentation and assist with post-event reporting.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network deployment.
• In-depth knowledge of LAN/WLAN technologies and event environments.
• Flexibility and availability to travel internationally, often for up to 2 weeks.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in high-pressure settings.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while on-site.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and travel abroad without restriction.

• Events are held worldwide, with many large-scale conferences in the United States.
• When not deployed, full-time employees are expected to work onsite at the Wokingham office.
