Technology Assurance Analyst

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects, assessing risk areas and providing insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations across engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies for data-driven findings
• Integrate data throughout the review process
• Present risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or similar
• Understanding of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles, preferably in financial services
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Problem-solving skills with datasets and structured approaches
• Knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
