Technology Assurance Analyst

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects. Your role involves assessing business risk areas, especially within the change portfolio, providing insights to the Board and Senior Leadership to improve business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations and assurance work on engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Incorporate data throughout the review process from planning to reporting
• Present risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, preferably a 2:1 or higher in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to work confidently in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficiency with datasets and structured problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
