Senior Business Information Security Officer (BISO)

Location: Manchester (Hybrid 3 days on site)

Salary: Up to £90,000 + £5900 Cash Allowance + 10% bonus

We’re looking for a Senior BISO to join our UK Business Information Security Officer team—a group of trusted, knowledgeable cyber specialists who serve as the vital link between our business units and global security teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cyber security professional who thrives on building relationships, influencing strategy, and shaping secure business outcomes.

What you’ll do:

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders, becoming a trusted advisor on cyber security matters.
2. Develop deep knowledge of business operations, pressures, and priorities—and align security engagement accordingly.
3. Manage security-focused projects and drive “security hygiene” sprints to reduce risk and strengthen posture.
4. Identify and manage areas of security risk, such as vulnerabilities and control gaps, working with technical teams to resolve and escalate where needed.
5. Translate security data into compelling, accessible insights using tools such as Power BI.
6. Guide business teams through assessment and risk processes, providing expert advice and support.
7. Support the delivery of security awareness and behavioural change initiatives across the business.
8. Mentor and coach junior team members, contributing to a positive team culture.
9. Work closely with cyber leadership on key engagement and change initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

1. A strong background in senior information security or cyber roles, with proven experience engaging senior stakeholders.
2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex security issues for non-technical audiences.
3. An understanding of enterprise technology environments and how security is applied within them.
4. Experience influencing human behaviour in the context of cyber awareness and culture.
5. Knowledge of risk management, assurance practices, and core technical security principles.
6. Experience with data analysis and visualisation—Power BI or similar tools are a plus.
