The Role: We are seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant with deep expertise in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Insider Threat/Risk Management (ITM). This role involves translating business needs into effective security controls, acting as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, and ensuring the Proofpoint Information Protection Suite meets security and compliance goals.

Responsibilities:

• DLP & ITM Expertise: Manage the lifecycle of DLP and ITM rules, from requirements gathering to technical implementation.
• Deep Understanding of DLP & ITM: Demonstrate knowledge of data classification, user behavior monitoring, and alert investigation.
• Rule Management: Oversee the creation, configuration, testing, deployment, review, and retirement of rules.
• Data Owner Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand security needs and develop policies.
• Technical Rule Architect: Develop and refine rules leveraging Proofpoint capabilities.
• Testing & Monitoring: Ensure rules are effective and identify improvements.
• Reporting: Contribute to business review reports and handle ad-hoc requests.
• Communication: Explain complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge Sharing: Share best practices and develop training materials for the team.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years in Information Security, Service Delivery, IT, Consulting, or Risk roles
• Experience with Proofpoint DLP, ITM, and CASB products
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and Defender for Cloud Apps
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Proven success in senior management service delivery and communication
• Security+ or equivalent professional certification
