Salary: Grade 8 from £45,140 to £57,803 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £64,606 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution.

Hours: Full-time

The Digital Services Directorateis responsible for managing and delivering technology, data and digital services to support the academic, administrative, and research functions of the university.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Information Security Compliance Leadto join our Cyber and Information Security Team and be at the forefront of protecting our digital world. You’ll ensure our systems meet industry standards, navigate complex regulations, and keep our data safe and secure.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead compliance initiatives to keep us secure and compliant with top-tier frameworks (Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NIST etc.).
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to uncover vulnerabilities before they become threats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain security policies.
• Promote a culture of security awareness across the university.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in information security governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience with industry standards, frameworks, and regulations.
• Certifications like CISM, CISSP, or CISA
• A proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
