Job summary

Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, the post holder will be directly responsible for LGT's efforts to secure and maintain a resilient IT infrastructure and ensure regulatory compliance.

The post holder will support the Cybersecurity Manager in maintaining IT network and cyber security systems, including endpoint patching, implementing updates and upgrades across the Trust, managing security configurations, and demonstrating system health and compliance based on predefined standards. Routine maintenance of endpoints will also be part of the responsibilities.

The postholder will collaborate with team members to protect digital assets and uphold statutory compliance standards.

Main duties of the job

1. Conduct quarterly reviews of LGT's cybersecurity posture, incorporating threat intelligence and security assessments. Update and enhance cybersecurity strategies based on findings.
2. Develop cybersecurity knowledge by staying informed about industry trends, maintaining a dashboard, and producing management reports on risks, vulnerabilities, and trends.
3. Support external communications by working with NHSD and other agencies, and establishing good relationships within the support team and organization.
4. Manage security tools and respond to incidents by investigating and addressing IT network and cyber security issues, supporting information security across the Trust.
5. Assist infrastructure and desktop teams in cybersecurity-related aspects, system configurations, and provide cover for BAU processes.

Job responsibilities

• Identify all IP addresses currently in use by the Trust.
• Regularly scan identified IP addresses on recommended TCP and UDP ports.
• Assist in managing IT network aspects to attain and maintain Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
• Conduct ongoing threat horizon scanning to reduce vulnerabilities.
