Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Information Security Analyst to join a hybrid team in East London. The role focuses on protecting information assets by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to threats.

You will develop and implement security policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance, while collaborating with clients and internal teams to strengthen security postures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in information security or a related technical role.
  • Proficiency with security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS), vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles, protocols, and operating systems.
  • Experience with incident response methodologies and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication abilities for clients in East London.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events, investigate potential threats, and perform initial incident response.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
