Job description

VANRATH is thrilled to assist our client in the search of an Information Resource Specialist. Our client is a global law firm, offering the successful candidate an incredible chance to join a multi-billion pound enterprise with a strong global presence.

Employment Type: Full-time (4 Month Contract)
Location: Belfast
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 + Comprehensive Benefits & Career Growth Opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of information and research tools across practice groups and regions.
  • Lead procurement, renewal, and cancellation of subscriptions and resources.
  • Drive usage analysis to evaluate return on investment and inform decisions.
  • Support vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.
  • Promote effective and compliant use of tools, especially those with AI capabilities.
  • Deliver targeted training and engagement to support user adoption.
  • Act as a key contact for product access, troubleshooting, and stakeholder support.
  • Collaborate closely with Knowledge, Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of policies, processes, and service delivery.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in information procurement or product management in a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Strong track record of vendor management and contract negotiation at a regional or global level.
  • Deep knowledge of legal and business research tools and platforms, including AI tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a large, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident presenting and training users on tools and platforms.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented approach.
