Nottinghamshire Police is seeking an Information Request Officer to join the Information Rights Team. You will manage a range of information requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and legally compliant responses.

Salary £30,333 to £32,613 per annum (pro rata if part time)
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and fast-paced Information Rights Team.
As an Information Request Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an efficient, professional, and legally compliant information request service. Working with sensitive and confidential information, you will be responsible for managing and processing a wide range of information requests in accordance with the Data Protection Act, UK GDPR, and Freedom of Information legislation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of disclosure requests, including Family and Civil Court Orders, requests from Regulatory Bodies, Insurance disclosures, Freedom of Information requests, and Subject Access Requests. This varied role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and make a meaningful contribution to the organisation's compliance and information governance objectives.
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a keen attention to detail. You will be able to interpret and apply legislation confidently, manage competing priorities, and remain calm and effective when working under pressure. A flexible approach, commitment to delivering high-quality customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team are essential.
Previous experience of handling sensitive and confidential information, as well as knowledge of disclosure processes and information rights legislation, would be highly desirable. Candidates with experience of managing disclosure requests, Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information requests, or similar information governance functions will be well placed to succeed in this role.

Vetting Level – Management – you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).
