Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking an Information Officer to handle Adult Social Care enquiries by phone, email and online referrals. You will provide information, advice and signposting with a focus on excellent service delivery.

Join a collaborative Advice and Contact team and contribute to helping vulnerable adults live independently in the community. Hybrid working with cross-team support is provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in social care/customer service setting.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills with ability to analyse and prioritise work.

  • Action referrals and provide high-quality information, advice and signposting.

Job description

Salary:£30,023 - £32,046 pro rata

Hours per week:22 hours

Ourkey focus is to support Wiltshire’s vulnerable adults to live as independently as possible,withinthecommunity. Thisholistic approachand the support that you will offer will be essential in the service achieving this.

As an Information Officer, you will be part of a team that responds to Adult Social Care enquiries and concerns via telephone,emailand online referrals. You willbe responsible foractioning referrals andprovidinghigh-quality information,adviceand signposting.

To thrive in this exciting and rewarding role, we seek candidateswith social care and customer service experiencewhohas the ability towork as part of a team in a busy and fast paced environment.You will needgoodlistening and communication skills to build effective relationships with vulnerable adultsanddisplay a courteous and professional attitude,as well asexcellent IT skills andthe ability to analyse and prioritise work.
