An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Manager within the Data Transformation Team in the Information Services department.
The successful applicant will help improve and maintain services for patients by ensuring that electronically stored data used to support decision-making (e.g., WPAS, and other key systems) is accurate, valid, reliable, complete, relevant, and complies with data standards.
As a member of the Data Transformation Team, the Information Manager will support the Information Development Manager and Senior Information Managers. The role offers opportunities for personal and professional development and building on existing skills.
This demanding role requires excellent analytical, numeracy, organizational, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly motivated.
The aim of the Information Manager (IM) is to provide high-quality monitoring and support functions to the Health Board. The IM will promote data standards and quality across key systems such as National WPAS, WCCIS, and local CWS, supporting the development of the longer-term Information Transformation Programme aligned with strategic objectives.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring data created, edited, used, or recorded on Health Board systems is accurate and of high quality. This requires attention to detail, strong relationships, and knowledge of national reporting requirements.
The role requires experience with operational administrative processes, understanding of policies like Referral to Treatment (RTT), WPAS policies, and Data Standards. WPAS specialist knowledge and collaboration skills are essential to ensure adherence to standards and promote best practices.
