The Capital Projects team manages major construction and change projects, including the Government Hubs and Whitehall Campus Programmes.

This role supports the Government’s regional development agenda, moving 22,000 Civil Servant roles out of London under the Places for Growth initiative. The Information Management Lead will ensure project teams adhere to standards and requirements for building information management from design to operation, developing and refining information management processes and governance to ensure compliance and best practice.

The role involves managing information acquisition, management, and organization, facilitating access to maximize its use, and ensuring legal and policy compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing information management governance and strategy for Capital Projects, managing a small team.
  • Managing the information lifecycle in systems, ensuring policies are followed.
  • Championing the use of the corporate platform as the Records Management tool.
  • Engaging stakeholders to demonstrate systems and improve practices.
  • Applying strategic thinking to resolve operational issues.
  • Supporting a culture of initiative and change management.
  • Understanding information processing and its relationship to other assets and digital continuity.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and legislation on information sharing and advising external parties.
  • Managing collaboration and document storage spaces, enhancing user experience.
  • Overseeing the disposal of non-record information according to retention policies.
