The Role

We are seeking an Information Governance Manager and Data Protection Officer (DPO) to enhance our Data Privacy Framework and support compliance with UK GDPR. You will design, build, and implement new ways of working to ensure compliance and meet organizational needs.

As DPO, you will monitor compliance, develop relationships across the organization, and serve as the main contact for the Information Commissioner and data subjects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and Implement Privacy Strategy: Review and update programs, develop policies, and identify risks.
2. Ensure Data Compliance: Stay updated on legal developments, review operations and projects.
3. Data Breach Management: Collaborate with IT, maintain records, and respond to data subject requests.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years’ experience in data privacy, possibly as a qualified lawyer, with relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, CIPM). A strong understanding of legal frameworks (DPA 2018, GDPR) and practical support experience are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills and strategic thinking are required.
