Job DescriptionAbout the roleWe are seeking an Information Governance Compliance Officer to join our team in Oldham on a permanent basis. The role involves handling information rights requests, managing information security incidents, and providing proactive, professional, and consistent advice on information governance.
This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week with hybrid working arrangements: three days in the Oldham office and two days remote.
What we're looking forCandidates should have experience managing a varied workload in a customer-focused environment, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Key requirements include:
- Understanding and experience of interpreting all relevant information management legislation, regulation, and best practices, such as Data Protection Regulations and Information Rights, and their implications for organisations like Guinness.
- Ability to challenge and influence through discussion and debate.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask and handle conflicting priorities.
- Capability to produce high-quality information, data, and reports.
- Understanding of the Information Management Lifecycle.
- Alignment with Guinness Behaviours.
Essential Experience:
- Experience working within a Data Protection function.
Essential Qualifications:
- Educated to Level 2 (C+ or 9-4 GCSE or equivalent) or higher.
Desired Qualifications:
- IAPP Data Protection Qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one.
