The Information Compliance Team are looking for an organised, proactive, and enthusiastic Information Compliance Officer to join our friendly and collaborative team, which sits within the wider Legal and Compliance Services department.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a time when the regulatory landscape is evolving, bringing new opportunities to strengthen and develop the University's established approach to information governance, data protection, and effective records management. The role will have a particular focus on records management and archiving, helping us to develop and embed effective practices across the University and supporting our response to an evolving regulatory landscape.

Working alongside Information Compliance colleagues, you will support a varied portfolio of work including records management and archiving, data protection, information rights, Data Protection Impact Assessments, information sharing and data processing agreements, contract reviews, research ethics, and information governance advice.

You will also play an important role in supporting the University's assessment records archiving arrangements in response to Office for Students Condition B4, as well as helping the team implement legislative developments including the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

You will work with colleagues across the University, using your judgement and organisational skills to help solve problems, manage competing priorities and translate sometimes complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions.

We are looking for someone with experience that is transferable to information compliance, whether gained through data protection, records management, information governance, legal, contracts, regulatory, or compliance work. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and an interest in developing your knowledge in an exciting and evolving area.

You will join a supportive, approachable, and cohesive team, where you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise and make a visible contribution to improving information governance and records management across the University.
