Information Architect, Vice President

Within Citi Enterprise Data Office, we are seeking an experienced Information Architect with strong hands-on experience using modelling languages such as UML and ER to create Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models across Banking & Finance and supporting Business Domains. The candidate must have experience developing large-scale data models that fit multiple lines of business. The work will involve partnering with stakeholders to design strategic logical data models to support data governance and lineage across state-of-the-art solutions using microservices and integration with many applications/services.

Description

Citi ICG O&T develops innovative solutions and provides exceptional service to our clients, partnering closely with product teams. The Institutional Operations group manages transactions for various financial services, supported by our technology team responsible for application development and support across lines of business.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with stakeholders within a business domain to understand and identify key data concepts, their relationships, and information needs.
2. Develop comprehensive conceptual and logical models and metadata solutions using UML and MagicDraw.
3. Document how models are applied using Specification-By-Example for various use-cases.
4. Design and maintain the blueprint of information architecture, data integrations, and controls aligned with business strategy.
5. Partner with Product and Technology teams to understand requirements and relate models to physical data models and interfaces.
6. Unify data concepts across front office, credit risk, servicing, and reporting functions.
7. Define, model, and rationalize target state solutions; socialize with stakeholders and conduct walkthroughs.
8. Incorporate data standards and implement governance models.
9. Develop data flows, ownership matrices, mappings, and data lineage.
10. Assist in implementing physical data models, contributing to system and operational design.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in Domain Data Modeling and Information Architecture.
• Extensive experience with UML, relational/hierarchical models, and business data analysis.
• Object-Oriented design experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of information and data architecture, with enterprise-level problem-solving solutions.
• Modeling expertise using MagicDraw (preferred), Erwin, or Enterprise Architect, including metadata management tools and code forward-engineering from models.
• Financial industry knowledge in Capital Markets/Banking is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Data Management methodologies, including architecture, modeling, storage, and security.
• Experience with data integration, interoperability, and data quality solutions.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Data Architecture/Modeling is a plus.
