Job Title: Information Analyst

Starting Salary: £30,559 opportunity to progress to £33,366 per annum (pro rata for part time) – pay award pending

Hours: 37.0

About The Team


  • An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Data Collection Team.
  • The team sits within the Corp Performance BI & Improvement unit and is tasked with the collection, processing and error checking of schools returns (both statutory and non-statutory).
  • The list of collections includes major DfE and local authority returns and submissions (including School Census, Early Years Census and Assessment collections).


Our main clients are Children’s Services but we also provide data and analysis to other departments when required to.

About The Role


  • Working within the Corp Performance BI & Improvement unit and reporting to the Data Collection Manger, you will assist the Data Collection team in the delivery of major DfE and local authority data collections.
  • You will play a key role in ensuring that the data submitted is accurate, consistent and on time and meets the required standards.
  • You will also assist the team manager in maintaining the in house developed systems used for the checking and production of the collections.
  • And stay in touch with the latest collection changes/developments and work with within the team to implement the changes.
  • The duties and responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present. The post holder is expected to accept any reasonable alterations that may from time to time be necessary


About You

Essential:


  • You will be a highly motivated individual, methodical and committed to service excellence
  • Extremely confident with IT and possessing excellent Excel skills allowing you to quickly pick up new skills and undertake a broad range of tasks including complex data quality checks.
  • You will have good attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure so that you are able to deliver complex data collections to very tight timescales.
  • With good interpersonal skills, you will be able to communicate confidently and effectively with staff at all levels and lead a team to deliver an effective and efficient service.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK, without the requirement of sponsorship


Desirable:


  • Experience of the working on Local authority collections and using associated systems.
  • Familiar with using databases (MS Access).
  • A good working knowledge of schools and school’s data.
