Sodexo is seeking an Information, Advice and Guidance Tutor to work with prisoners at HMP Peterborough, helping them identify opportunities, set education and employment goals, and create practical plans for resettlement. You will provide individual and group guidance, initiating Personal Learning Plans and supporting progression paths.

The role emphasizes collaboration with education, skills, work, and inclusion teams, and requires Enhanced DBS and vetting.

Qualificações

• Work one-to-one and in groups to develop skills, confidence and motivation.
• Identify and help individuals overcome barriers to learning and progression.
• Collaborate with education, skills, work, Neurodiversity & Inclusion and wider prison teams.
• Support prisoners to establish SMART goals and clear pathways towards release and employment.
• Maintain accurate records and work within relevant policies and legal requirements.

We're looking for a passionate and motivated Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Tutor to join our Education, Skills and Work team. This is an opportunity to work directly with prisoners at the beginning of their journey, helping them understand their strengths, identify opportunities and create realistic goals for education, skills, employment and resettlement.

As an IAG Tutor, you'll be one of the first people many prisoners meet when they arrive at HMP Peterborough. Your support can help them take those important first steps towards positive change.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide high-quality information, advice and guidance through a combination of one-to-one support and group work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing CIAG induction assessments, including Maths, English and ICT.


• Completing and maintaining each prisoner's Personal Learning Plan (PLP) at induction.

What we're looking for

Desirable experience

It would be advantageous if you have:

• A Level 4 Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) qualification.


• Previous experience working in a careers, information, advice and guidance environment.


• Experience within an education or custodial setting.


• Knowledge or understanding of prison regimes.
