Job description

On behalf of a hospital based in the Midlands, I’m looking for an experienced Infectious Diseases / Medical Microbiology Consultant who could be available for 3 months in the first instance.

Position Details

This is a locum position with a possible extension.

1. This is a clinically orientated post with substantial ward round commitment, particularly in Critical Care areas. The locum, together with consultant colleagues, will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective clinical microbiology, virology, and infection prevention and control service to UHP and other users of the service.
2. On-call duties are negotiable and to be confirmed.
3. Great location with local accommodation available if required.
4. Easily accessible by public transport & car.

Requirements

• GMC registration; entry on the specialist register is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year NHS experience at Consultant level; candidate must be able to work independently.
• Must be onsite.

Negotiable pay terms.
