The post holder is directly responsible to the Head of Service (Logistics and Supply Chain) and will be responsible for managing Logistics and Supply Business Improvement Initiatives and Projects in conjunction with the Head of Service.
The post holder will lead a team of logistics staff across One Lancashire & South Cumbria. Key responsibilities include validating business processes, providing operational procedures for training and development, developing efficiency opportunities from current processes, measuring/monitoring implemented savings and costs of deployment, sharing system enhancements and knowledge as well as good or new business practices whilst removing poor practice across the Trust.
The post holder will be expected to work at a strategic level with stakeholders across multiple NHS Trusts within One LSC.
This is a pivotal role within the Logistics and Supply Chain structure, with responsibility for the rollout of Scan 4 Safety across three main hospital sites, commencing at Westmorland General Hospital.

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
